This site is a memorial and tribute to Katherine Jane Shander – “Katy” to all who knew her – beloved wife, mother, sister, daughter, friend and colleague, stolen from us all far too soon.

This wonderful image, taken by her son Aidan, caught us on the beach in late August 2023, less than two months before she died. Those of us left behind struggle to make sense of a world without her.

We are holding a remembrance ceremony and celebration of her life at the Tower Hill Botanical Gardens on June 8, 2024. Please see this post on her CaringBridge site for details. If you would like to attend, please RSVP as directed in that post.
